3D Tattoos

I saw a woman the other day that had a tarantula spider tattoo on her shoulder and thought for sure it was the real thing. As it turned out it was a 3D tattoo that she had put on her shoulder to freak people out. I must say that it did the trick. Now I should have known better seeing that I too have a 3D tattoo.

The problem with these tattoos is that some of them are so realistic that you would never know the difference until you are right up on them. Lets take mine for example I have a flaming skull similar to that on ghost rider an my back. When I have my shirt off it is quite a sight to see the tattoo, I actually scared a child one day because they saw my tattoo and though it was a real skull.

The more common designs for this type of tattoo is some sort of insect or animal that usually people are scared of in everyday life. This can be a spider or a scorpion or any animal such as a tiger of such. The most common place for this tattoo to be placed is on the upper back or on the shoulder. These types of tattoos are especially popular with women and younger men.

Before you decide to go and get a 3D tattoo there are some things that you need to consider. the first of which is the type of tattoo you want to get. there are several designs available out there. The disadvantage to a 3D tattoo is that not every design can be made into a 3D tattoo.

Next you will want to decide where on your body you will want your tattoo to be placed. Keep in mind that the tattoo will have to be on the large side in order to give it the full 3D effect. I would suggest that you go with either an upper back location or somewhere on your upper shoulder. These are just my two suggestions as to where the tattoo would work best.

Next is the most important aspect, you will need to find a qualified artist that will be able to do your ink for you. Just because a person is able to do a regular tattoo does not mean that they will be able to draw a 3D tattoo properly. I have seen and heard horror stories about people who went to get a tattoo and wound up getting something that had to be lasered off because it was of such poor quality. When you meet with your artist make sure that you both have a full understanding as to what you are wanting. Make sure that they have experience doing these kinds of tattoos.

This has been a quick and simple guide to getting a 3D tattoo and all that you need to know before you get your ink done. I hope that you go and get one of the best on the market as they will definitely be a conversation piece for years to come.
